Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Dallas, TX is seeking a Loader to safely load window units into trucks, scan items with handheld devices, and collaborate with the team. The role involves staging, lifting up to 50 pounds, and standing for long periods in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.

Typical shifts can be 12 hours with weekends; full-time benefits (medical, dental, vision) start day one, plus PTO, holidays, 401(k) options and more. On-site position with safety emphasis and EEO compliance.

Qualifications

• One-year experience loading freight by hand in a manufacturing/warehouse setting.
• One-year experience with RF/Handheld scanners.
• Able to work up to twelve hours in a shift Monday through Friday with mandatory Saturdays; hours depend on workflow and season.
• Standing, walking and working on concrete surfaces for long periods.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly

Responsibilities

• Load window units into trucks using carts and hand carts, stacking units safely.
• Pull units from staging bays using a pick sheet and loading onto carts.
• Scan units onto truck using handheld scanners.
• Communicate with team members to coordinate loads.
• Stage window units from production lines into staging bays.
• Assist in other areas in the department as needed (housekeeping, unloading trailers).
• Follow safety equipment protocols and safety guidelines.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Loader will be responsible for loading window units into trucks using carts and hand carts and stacking units safely and securely
• Pulling units from staging bays using a pick sheet and loading onto carts
• Scanning units onto truck using handheld scanners
• Demonstrate the ability to communicate with other team members
• Staging window units from production lines into staging bays
• Assist in other areas in the department as needed-housekeeping, unloading trailers, etc
• Wear proper safety equipment and follow all safety protocols

Qualifications:

• One-year experience loading freight by hand in a manufacturing/warehouse setting
• One-year experience with RF/Handheld scanners
• Candidate must be able to work up to twelve hours in a shift Monday through Friday with mandatory Saturdays; work hours are dependent on work flow and season of the year
• Will require standing, walking and working on concrete surfaces for long periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
