Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a loader to efficiently move window units from production to dispatch. The role requires careful handling, carting units, and using RF handheld scanners to update loads.

Applicants should be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work a 12-hour shift that may include Saturdays. Safety and teamwork are essential in our manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience loading freight by hand in a manufacturing/warehouse setting.
• Experience with RF/handheld scanners.
• Able to work up to 12 hours in a shift, including Saturdays; hours depend on workflow and season.
• Able to stand, walk and work on concrete surfaces for long periods.

Job Description

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Loader will be responsible for loading window units into trucks using carts and hand carts and stacking units safely and securely
• Pulling units from staging bays using a pick sheet and loading onto carts
• Scanning units onto truck using handheld scanners
• Demonstrate the ability to communicate with other team members
• Staging window units from production lines into staging bays
• Assist in other areas in the department as needed—housekeeping, unloading trailers, etc
• Wear proper safety equipment and follow all safety protocols

Qualifications

• One-year experience loading freight by hand in a manufacturing/warehouse setting
• One-year experience with RF/Handheld scanners
• Candidate must be able to work up to twelve hours in a shift Monday through Friday with mandatory Saturdays; work hours are dependent on work flow and season of the year
• Will require standing, walking and working on concrete surfaces for long periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 50pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
