OVERVIEW: Find your future at Fastenal! Our distribution center is hiring energetic, team oriented individuals to work in our fast pace warehouse! Working as Full-time Shipping Assistant Manager, you will assist in managing the Shipping department. The Shipping department is responsible for organizing all outgoing orders by placing packages into the correct shipping containers. You will motivate and provide leadership to team members to ensure day-to-day operations are completed safely, accurately, efficiently and on time. RESPONSIBILITIES

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Possess prior leadership or management work experience
• Proficient written and oral communication skills
• Knowledge of computer operations, including warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office Applications
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
• Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
• Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• Work independently as well as in a team environment
• Lead and motivate a team of employees
• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior experience operating a forklift
• Prior warehouse work experience
