Job Description

Our client specializes in stocking, sheeting, and slitting various forms of Aluminum Foil, Copper Foil, and Stainless Steel Foil. They are currently seeking a Shipping and Receiving Supervisor with overseas shipping experience to join their manufacturing team.

Position details include: Direct Hire or Temp-to-Perm, depending on the applicant.
1st Shift 7a-3:30p
$52-$60k/yr.

Summary:

The Shipping and Receiving Supervisor oversees all shipping personnel and activities, ensuring inbound inventory is properly organized and distributed. They double-check orders for accuracy before shipping, ensure all shipment paperwork is complete, and coordinate routing for customers and drivers. They also assist with packaging, loading, unloading, and serve as a key member of management, conducting themselves professionally.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee Packaging Employees
• Review Daily Ship Log for readiness
• Assist with unloading inbound materials
• Double check order accuracy
• Ensure timely order processing
• Coordinate with Operations Manager on shipments
• Ensure proper completion of shipping paperwork
• Work with Quality Manager on inbound material distribution
• Manage inventory control and material handling
• Train new employees
• Inspect and calibrate packed items
• Maintain packaging inventory
• Promote teamwork and cooperation
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Tow motor driving experience
• Operate packaging tools and RFID technology
• Mathematical aptitude
• Ability to read specifications and measuring devices
• Manual dexterity with hand tools
• Lift up to 50-100 pounds with assistance
• Frequent standing, walking, lifting
• Follow safety procedures
• Basic knowledge of materials and products
