The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for the successful and efficient execution of order picking and shipping and receiving. Understand all SOPs, GMPs & HACCP regulations to ensure product safety, worker’s safety, worry free services and quality product to our customers along with the proper use of all equipment.

Job Responsibilities

• Overall responsible for the successful execution of all warehouse activities
• Responsibility for all aspects of the effective supervision, training, and development of your team
• Plan, monitor, and appraise team results
• Coaches, counsels, and disciplines employees
• Ensure that all picking, shipping, and receiving policies & procedures are followed by warehouse staff
• Ensure that all shipping documentation is accurate and correct
• Prepares and maintains shipping and receiving documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, and inventory records
• Investigates and resolves shipping and receiving discrepancies, addresses issues with shipments, and collaborates with other departments to resolve problems
• Compliance with all regulations/certificates needed to ship via air and land
• Approval of all outbound shipping invoices
• Communicate with other departments regarding concerns/issues
• Communicate with carriers to ensure timely pickups and deliveries of customer orders
• Prepare orders to ship and create documentation as needed
• Ensure the shipping staff remains compliant with all company safety policies
• Reports any food safety problems to personnel with the authority to initiate actions
• Stay abreast of industry advancements by attending seminars, webinars and conferences

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in shipping food products/flavors highly desired.Must have S&R leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, two-year college degree or equivalent preferred or any appropriate combination of education and relevant work experience
• A team player with the willingness to “do the work” in addition to supervising and delegating work
• Strong leadership skills to manage a team, communicate effectively with employees and other departments, and foster a collaborative environment
• Ability to multitask, as well as prioritize and handle conflicting objectives
• A strong understanding of FIFO rotation and lot code traceability
• Must be dedicated to meeting the requirements and expectations of both internal and external customers
• Strong communication, organization and planning skills
• Must be self-motivated and results-oriented, with superior problem-solving skills
• Must be comfortable making decisions and having confidence in those decisions
• Strong computer skills – Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience using UPS and FedEx systems needed
• Experience using Sage X3 ERP software highly desired, but experience with any modern ERP system required
• HazMat Shipping Certified highly desired
• Ability to drive stand-up and sit-down forklift highly desired

Physical Requirements

• The ability to lift 50+ pounds multiple times during a workday
• Regularly required to stand, walk, occasionally bend and move around the facility.
• Ability to work with allergens (tree nuts, peanut, dairy and other known allergens).
• Ability to use the appropriate personal safety equipment and spill kits as provided to address accidental discharge of raw materials in the facilities.
• Regular trips out to the warehouse and production areas with exposure to odors, fumes, airborne particles, noise levels, extreme temperature conditions, flammable & hazardous liquids, raw materials, and allergens.
• Non-hybrid role

Personal Protective Equipment

• Non-slip steel-toed shoes are required on the Production Floor and Warehouse.
• Hairnets, facial hair nets, gloves, safety glasses and ear plugs are required to be worn on the Production Floor and Warehouse.
• Lab coats, uniforms or coveralls are mandatory on the Production Floor and Warehouse.
