Shift Available: 7am - 3pm EST or 3pm-11pm EST (Monday-Friday)
Locations: Remote (Supports Western Maryland Teams)
Job Scope
The primary goal of this position is to assist the MRT supervisor is to provide, support, oversight, and coordination of the Western Maryland mobile response team. This position will report directly to the Director of Mobile Services. In addition, this role will assist with clinical and administrative oversight of the mobile teams, assist with the MRT and MCT teams, and provide clinical support as needed. To support this goal the following objectives and responsibilities must be achieved:
- Provide orientation, training, support to new therapist and peer support specialist and assists with troubleshooting mobile response team issues that arise.
- Will assist the Director of Mobile Services with scheduling and finding coverage for callouts during their shift
- Reviews all step-down paperwork from hospitals and acts as the point-person for diversion referrals for hospitals, community providers and police
- Triage crisis runs as needed and work with therapists and the peers to problem-solve acute crisis situations
- Coordinate mobile responses in Allegany and Garrett counties in Maryland
- Works with the Director of Mobile Services to strengthen relationships with hospitals, outpatient facilities and other referral sources.
- Will supervise or submit any necessary Emergency Petitions as well as prepare and submit progress reports
- Will attend planning and monitoring meetings with other partnering organizations
- Will monitor and ensure spending is consistent with the approved budget
- Will ensure that any critical incidents are documented and reported according to contract requirements
- Identify any barriers to progress and work to improve quality of services
- Will assist the therapists with troubleshooting authorization for service issues that arise
- Will assist as needed with completing mobile crisis team runs when short-staffed or when there is specialized need that requires the lead counselor to respond to the run
- Will assist with tracking monthly youth run outcome data requested by the State and the local behavioral health authority.
- 24/7 on-call responsibilities and supervisory support for all shifts.
Qualifications
Candidates must be a Maryland Licensed Counselor (LCPC, LGPC, LCSW or LMSW)
Requirements
Educational Requirements:
This position requires a master’s degree in psychology, social work or related field from an accredited college or university. Candidates must have appropriate State License LCSW-C, LCPC and have 2 years of experience post licensure.
Experience
At least two years or more of experience working in behavioral health with acute crisis. One year of management experience in community mental health preferred.
Physical Demands
Moderate walking, standing, climbing stairs and sitting required. Moderate lifting up to 20 lbs.
Working Conditions
Works generally in well-lighted and ventilated office environment with standard office supplies and/or equipment (desk, chairs, telephone, computers). Also, works in the community with the MCT, May be required to work flexible hours in order to achieve position objectives.

Potential exposure to highly charged stressful, and emotional situations, potential exposure to aggressive encounters.
