Job summary

OurStaff, LLC in Milpitas, CA is seeking a Shipping Clerk to prepare and pack shipments, manage order fulfillment, and maintain shipping supplies. You will work with carriers and internal teams to ensure accurate, on-time delivery.

This role requires a high school diploma and at least three years in shipping or related roles; forklift certification is preferred, with experience in SAP, RF scanners, and pallet jacks.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years' experience in shipping or material handling.
• Experience with SAP ERP is a plus.
• Familiarity with UPS/FedEx/DHL systems for international and domestic shipping.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and operate pallet jack.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare packing in advance per shipping schedule provided.
• Follow Lead Shipping & Supervisor's instructions to ensure timely shipment.
• Handle all shipping activities: packaging, shrink wrapping, labeling, pallet movement.
• Execute proper procedures to pack and prepare shipments for customers.
• Fulfill orders and update inventory.
• Maintain stock for shipping supplies.
• Coordinate completion of preparing shipments with carrier pickup times.
• Pack parts / supplies in crates, boxes or skids.
• Ensure shipping documents, including customs docs for international shipments.
• Interface with customer carriers for pickup arrangements and documentation.
• Report discrepancies to Lead Shipping and Supervisor in a timely manner.
• Check shipments match orders.
• Assist in safety and housekeeping in shipping area.
