Qualifications

• Completed high school education or equivalent with at least three years' shipping or material handling experience.
• Experience with SAP ERP system is a plus.
• Experience with UPS, FedEx, DHL systems and other freight carriers for both international and domestic shipments.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and operate a pallet jack.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare packing in advance following the shipping schedule with Shipping Clerks.
• Follow Lead Shipping & Supervisor’s instructions to ensure timely shipments.
• Package, shrink wrap, label, and palletize products for daily shipments.
• Pack and prepare shipments for customers with accuracy and integrity.
• Coordinate shipment completion with carrier pickup times and update inventory.

Our client, a leading logistics and supply chain organization, is seeking a SHIPPING SPECIALIST to join their team. As a SHIPPING SPECIALIST, you will be part of the Shipping Department supporting the logistics and distribution operations. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: SHIPPING SPECIALIST

Location: Milpitas, CA

Pay Range: $25.00/hr

Shift: 6:00 AM-2:30 PM

What's the Job?

• Prepare packing in advance even if it’s not on the shipping schedule with Shipping Clerks, following the provided shipping schedule.
• Follow Lead Shipping & Supervisor’s instructions to ensure the timely shipment of products.
• Perform all aspects of shipping activities including packaging, shrink wrapping, labeling, and pallet movement to facilitate daily product shipments.
• Execute proper procedures to pack and prepare shipments for customers, ensuring accuracy and integrity of goods.
• Coordinate shipment completion with carrier pickup times and scheduling, while updating inventory and maintaining shipping supplies.

What's Needed?

• Completed high school education or equivalent, with a minimum of three years’ experience in shipping or material handling roles.
• Experience with SAP ERP System is a plus.
• Previous experience with UPS, FedEx, DHL systems, and other freight carriers for both international and domestic shipments.
• Ability to accomplish tasks efficiently and follow established procedures and instructions.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills; ability to lift up to 35 lbs and operate a pallet jack.
