Job summary

Ellsworth Adhesives in Sparks, NV is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Specialist to manage inbound materials and prepare items for shipment within our dispensing solutions division.

You will arrange transportation, handle international freight paperwork, and work with IT/vendors to resolve system issues while training teammates and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires hands-on inventory control and adherence to safety and shipping protocols.

Qualifications

• 2 years of Shipping/Receiving experience.
• High school diploma or equivalency.
• Forklift certification must be obtained within 90 days.
• DOT Hazardous Materials Transportation certification preferred.
• Proficiently follows routing instructions and documentation.
• Communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Lifts and/or moves up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Receive materials into the facility and move to proper locations.
• Arrange transportation for outgoing orders via customers' portals or TMS.
• Provide quotes and arrange international shipments with the designated forwarder.
• Fill out SLIs, EEI, booking, and cargo documentation.
• Collaborate with IT and third-party vendors to troubleshoot system issues.
• Train Shipping/Receiving employees and develop work instructions.
• Suggest opportunities for continuous improvement.

You will be responsible for receiving materials into the facility and moves to appropriate location and prepares finished products for shipment. Obtains shipping cost quotes, routing instructions and arranges transportation services. Assists with training co-workers and continuous improvement initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Executes all duties and responsibilities of Shipping/Receiving, Associate
• Arranges transportation services for outgoing sales orders through the customers' transportation portal or TMS (Transportation Management Service)
• Provides quotes and arranges international freight shipments through the company's designated freight forwarder
• Fills out various international documentation, such as SLIs (Shippers Letters of Instructions), filing EEI (Electronic Export Information), quoting, booking and confirming cargo shipments
• Collaborates with Information Technology and/or third-party vendors to troubleshoot system issues
• Arranges transportation services for outgoing sales orders by making requests through the customers' transportation portal or TMS (Transportation Management Service)
• Fills out various international documentation, such as SLIs (Shippers Letters of Instructions), filing EEI (Electronic Export Information), quoting, booking and confirming cargo shipments
• Proficiently comprehends and follows customers' routing instructions, including but not limited to label, documentation, and transportation demands
• Following directions from the Warehouse Team Lead, performs inventory control tasks
• Trains other Shipping/Receiving employees
• Assists in developing job work instructions
• Provides input on opportunities for continuous improvement

QUALIFICATIONS
