Ellsworth Corporation in Sparks, NV is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Specialist to receive materials, move them to proper locations, and prepare finished products for shipment. This role reports to our Ellsworth Dispensing Solution division located in Sparks, NV. Ellsworth Dispensing Solutions provides the solutions to make parts. We are the knowledge leader in dispensing solutions. Ellsworth Corporation, a global, industry leading distributor of specialty chemicals and equipment and adhesive manufacturer currently has a Field Service Technician opportunity at Ellsworth Dispensing Solutions, located in Sparks, NV. You will be responsible for receiving materials into the facility and moves to appropriate location and prepares finished products for shipment. Obtains shipping cost quotes, routing instructions and arranges transportation services. Assists with training co-workers and continuous improvement initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• You will be responsible for receiving materials into the facility and moves to appropriate location and prepares finished products for shipment.
• Obtains shipping cost quotes, routing instructions and arranges transportation services.
• Assists with training co-workers and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Executes all duties and responsibilities of Shipping/Receiving, Associate Arranges transportation services for outgoing sales orders through the customer's transportation portal or TMS (Transportation Management Service).
• Provides quotes and arranges international freight shipments through the company’s designated freight forwarder.
• Fills out various international documentation, such as SLIs (Shippers Letters of Instructions), filing EEI (Electronic Export Information), quoting, booking and confirming cargo shipments.
• Collaborates with Information Technology and/or third-party vendors to troubleshoot system issues.
• Arranges transportation services for outgoing sales orders by making requests through the customer's transportation portal or TMS (Transportation Management Service).
• Fills out various international documentation, such as SLIs (Shippers Letters of Instructions), filing EEI (Electronic Export Information), quoting, booking and confirming cargo shipments.
• Proficiently comprehends and follows customers’ routing instructions, including but not limited to label, documentation, and transportation demands.
• Following directions from the Warehouse Team Lead, performs inventory control tasks.
• Trains other Shipping/Receiving employees.
• Assists in developing job work instructions.
• Provides input on opportunities for continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2 years of Shipping/Receiving experience
• High school diploma or equivalency
• Forklift certifications needs to be obtained within 90 days in the role
• DOT Hazardous Materials Transportation certification preferred
• Proficiently comprehends and follows customers' routing instructions, including but not limited to label, documentation, and transportation demands
• Communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to achieve a high level of work quality
• Any computer usage: Microsoft Office, ERP, distribution center software and/or hardware (UPC guns, etc.)
• Ability to interpret order notes and execute order instructions effectively
• Lifts and/or move up to 50 lbs
