Job summary

LHH is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Specialist in Columbia, MD. This onsite contract-to-hire role supports the smooth flow of materials in and out of the facility.

The candidate will receive, inspect, and document shipments, while maintaining inventory records and coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely delivery. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–2 years of experience in shipping and receiving or warehouse operations.
• Experience with SAP or ERP systems is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Accurately document and label incoming and outgoing materials.
• Prepare and package items for shipment, ensuring compliance with shipping standards.
• Maintain inventory records and perform regular cycle counts.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely delivery and receipt of goods.
• Maintain a clean and organized shipping/receiving area.
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.

Job Type: Contract-to-Hire

Pay Rate: $19–$23/hour (based on experience)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our team in Columbia, MD. This fully onsite, contract-to-hire position plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and products in and out of our facility.

Key Responsibilities
