Job summary

Egan Company in Champlin, MN is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join the Support Operations team. You will ship freight and parcels, receive incoming shipments, and track inventory in Egan's system.

The role requires 1-3 years warehouse experience, a high school diploma, forklift certification, and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Google Suite. You will handle labeling, packing, and coordinating with couriers.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve problems pertaining to shipping errors, lost shipments, or internal picking errors.
  • Assist in evaluating and determining the best method to ship goods (UPS, FedEx, Courier, LTL).
  • Enter shipping data into UPS system.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, clean, and efficient work area.
  • Operate forklift efficiently in the shop and warehouse (certification provided).
  • Identify and assist in Continuous Process Improvement measures.
  • Adhere to all safety and security guidelines applicable to the shop and warehouse.
  • Maintain professionalism with co-workers, customers, sub-contractors, vendors, project managers, office, and field staff.

Egan Company is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Shipping and Receiving Specialist within the Support Operations team, in Champlin, MN. In this role, the individual will be working within our Support Operations Team shipping freight, and parcels, receiving incoming shipments, and tracking and retrieving inventory in Egan's system.

Responsibilities:

Preparing paperwork for shipments, shipping, and transport of parts and materials.

Printing Shipping Labels and packing items with proper packaging methods.

Track and retrieve inventory; Troubleshoot inventory problems.

Adhere to all safety and security guidelines applicable to the shop and warehouse.

Maintain professionalism with co-workers, customers, sub-contractors, vendors, project managers, office, and field staff

Work in a team environment to accomplish tasks at hand.

All other duties assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

1-3 years of warehouse experience is required.

Previous shipping and receiving experience is required.

Possession of problem-solving abilities.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide sufficiently to perform standard mathematical calculations.

Ability to lift and carry 75 pounds.

Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.

Working Conditions:

Performance of duties in the warehouse, approximately 90% of the time.

Performance of duties outside of the warehouse, approximately 10% of the time.

Hourly Rate: $20.83- $25.48 (subject to such factors as experience, education, and/or skill set) plus potential annual discretionary bonus.
