Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Dayton, Ohio. The role involves receiving, inspecting and signing for shipments, preparing orders for carriers, and maintaining accurate records. You will use MS Office daily and support the team lead as needed.

Qualifications include 6+ months of warehouse or distribution experience and a high school diploma. Training for power equipment operation and English reading comprehension is provided.

Responsibilities

• Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and coordinates with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
• Audits and packages outgoing orders for small package and LTL carriers.
• Uses Microsoft Office programs to complete daily tasks.
• Labels and packages products for inventory or shipment.
• Back-ups to Team Lead as needed.
• Closes orders through digital shipper software.
• Prints address labels, bills of lading and packing slips for shipments.
• Responds to incoming sales emails.
• Other duties as required.

What You Will Do

• Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Signs for items that are received.
• Audit and package outgoing orders for small package carriers and LTL carriers.
• Uses Microsoft Office programs to complete daily tasks.
• Labels and/or packages products so that it is ready to go into inventory or out on a shipment.
• Back-up to the Team Lead.
• Closes orders out through digital shipper software.
• Prints out address labels, bill of lading and packing slips for all shipments
• Responding to incoming salesforce and emails.
• Other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications

• 6+ months of related warehouse or distribution experience
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Ability to learn how to operate power equipment
• Ability to read and understand written English

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of related warehouse or distribution experience
• Experience operating pallet jack, order picker, counterbalance, reach and turret trucks
• Experience operating forklift and/or pallet jack to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.

The typical hourly pay rate for this position ranges from $16.00 - $25.50 in Ohio. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
