Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Job Description

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk plays a key role in ensuring a smooth and efficient flow of materials throughout the operation. This position focuses on managing incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supporting supply chain and logistics processes. The ideal candidate brings strong stand‑up forklift experience, excellent organizational and record‑keeping skills, and a keen attention to detail and problem‑solving to keep materials available when needed.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and present supply chain data to improve visibility into potential issues and opportunities, supporting informed decision‑making within the leadership team.
• Comply with all receiving and warehousing procedures to ensure accurate and efficient handling of materials.
• Prepare and file detailed records on procurement activity, including quantities and vendors, to maintain clear documentation and traceability.
• Assist in the distribution of supplies throughout the organization to ensure departments receive materials in a timely manner.
• Control inventory levels and help ensure the availability of materials during routine operations and emergencies.
• Assist with stocking and proper storage of materials received to maintain an organized and accessible warehouse.
• Maintain and record inventory accurately, updating records to reflect all movements of materials.
• Support shipping and receiving activities, including verifying shipments, organizing orders, and coordinating logistics.
• Operate a stand‑up forklift safely to move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse and shipping/receiving areas.
• Handle material in accordance with established material handling and logistics practices.

Essential Skills

• Stand‑up or sit‑down forklift experience with the ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Hands‑on experience in shipping and receiving within a distribution or warehouse environment.
• Knowledge of supply chain processes, including logistics, procurement, and material flow.
• Strong understanding of inventory and inventory control practices.
• Experience with material handling in a warehouse or distribution setting.
• Excellent organizational and record‑keeping skills to maintain accurate documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving aptitude to identify and resolve issues quickly.
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and leadership.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
