Job summary

Taylor Corporation in Dallas, TX is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to manage the movement, verification, and packaging of goods in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

You will handle inbound/outbound shipments, use FedEx/UPS/USPS systems, perform cycle counts, operate forklifts, and ensure accurate data entry in the inventory system.

Responsibilities

• Package and label goods for shipment and record data.
• Operate shipping systems (FedEx, UPS, USPS).
• Support inventory counts and reporting of discrepancies.

Position

Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Location

Dallas, TX

Shift

1st Shift – Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with overtime as required (possible nights/weekends)

Work Authorization

Authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform the physical and/or administrative duties related to the shipping, handling, receiving, storing, counting, packaging, and distributing of equipment, materials, merchandise, and similar items.
• Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages, reject damaged goods, and enter data into the inventory control system.
• Put away and manage raw and finished goods inventory in the warehouse.
• Pull product from the warehouse to deliver to the production floor.
• Pick, wrap, and pack products in boxes, cartons, and other containers prior to final packing for shipment and affix identifying information to the packages.
• Use various shipping systems for FedEx, UPS, and USPS.
• Adjust to a fast‑paced and quickly changing environment.
• Assist in monthly inventory cycle counting.
• Operate a forklift, hand truck, or other equipment to load, unload, transport, and store goods as needed.
• Assemble orders and prepare goods for shipment.
• Record shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability.
• Receive and unpack materials and supplies.
• Report damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement, and record‑keeping purposes.
• Complete shipping and receiving reports.

Qualifications

• Comfortable with heights up to 35 feet.
• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information so others will understand.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Regularly required to remain in a stationary position and handle machinery/products, including printing materials.
• Frequent ability to move inside the facility and move up to 50+ pounds (lift, push, pull, and/or carry).

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of operations of material handling equipment such as sit‑down forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and reach trucks.
