Job summary

Taylor Corporation is seeking a Shipping Clerk for its Hutchins, TX facility. You will perform quality control, check-in orders, package and prepare shipments, and use PC-based systems to generate labels and documents. The role is on-site with a 1st shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm, with overtime as needed.

We value attention to detail, the ability to multitask, basic computer skills, and clear communication. Experience with UPS/FedEx software is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer knowledge required.
• Effective communication of information and ideas.
• Willingness to perform shipping tasks and follow safety rules.
• Lift up to 25+ pounds as part of duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control review of each order.
• Check-in orders.
• Aggregate and package/prepare orders for shipping via parcel and LTL carriers.
• Utilize PC-based systems to prepare shipping documents and labels.
• Maintain a clean working environment and equipment.
• Follow safety requirements for the position.
• Assembles orders and prepares goods for shipment.
• Records shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability.
• Completes shipping reports.

Your Opportunity:

Taylor Corporation is looking for a Shipping Clerk in our Hutchins-TX facility.

Work Authorization:

To be considered for the Taylor opportunities, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.

Your Responsibilities:

• Perform quality control review of each order
• Check-in orders
• Aggregate and package/prepare orders for shipping via parcel and LTL carriers
• Utilize PC-based systems to prepare shipping documents and labels
• Maintain a clean working environment and maintain equipment needed to ship orders timely
• Follow safety requirements for the position
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
• Assembles orders and prepares goods for shipment
• Records shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability
• Completes shipping reports

Your Shift:

• 1st Shift; Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm with overtime as needed

You Must Have:

• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet set deadlines in a fast paced environmentll
• Basic computer knowledge required
• Requirements Within This Position:
• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand
• Regularly required to remain in a stationary position
• Constantly operates machinery and handles products including print materials
• Frequently required to move inside the facility
• Regularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry)

We Would Also Prefer:

• Experience in Pick/Packing
• Experience with UPS and FedEx software
• 0-2 years experience
