Job summary

Kalman & Company is hiring multiple Shipping and Receiving Clerks in Crane, IN to support a government program with an anticipated award in early 2027. You will verify deliveries, record receipts, prepare outbound shipments, and maintain documentation while ensuring DoD shipping compliance.

The role requires U.S. citizenship, ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance, and at least 1 year in shipping/logistics. Training in DoD shipping and ERP familiarity are pluses.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required for all positions on this program.
• Active Secret security clearance, or ability to obtain one; must be eligible for a Tier 3 background investigation before system access.
• 1+ year of shipping, receiving, logistics, or inventory experience.
• DoD HAZMAT shipping training (DTR 4500.9-R) preferred.
• Experience with Navy ERP, SAP, or another WMS; familiarity with DoD shipping documents.

Responsibilities

• Offload, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing documents; record receipts in real time.
• Prepare and maintain receiving files, bills of lading, material movement forms, and monthly shipment logs.
• Research unidentified or frustrated material; support transportation, supply, and product quality discrepancy reports.
• Prepare outbound shipping documents (DD Form 1149, DD Form 1348-1), weigh and palletize material, and coordinate carrier pickups.
• Deliver material to customers and obtain signatures; track delinquent deliveries and follow up.

Role and Responsibilities:

Shipping and Receiving Clerks are the accuracy checkpoint for everything entering and leaving the warehouse. This role will verify deliveries, record receipts in real time, document discrepancies, and prepare outbound shipments and paperwork
Includes the following:

Minimum Qualifications:
