Aerotek is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Associate in Hebron, KY to support daily warehouse operations. You will coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments, inspect goods, and maintain accurate inventory using RF scanners and ERP systems.

The Shipping and Receiving Associate supports daily warehouse operations by coordinating incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring materials are received, stored, and distributed efficiently. This role works closely with production, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and finished products while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accurate and timely receipt and dispatch of materials and products.
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing slips, bills of lading, and shipping manifests.
Prepare, pack, and label outgoing shipments according to company standards and carrier requirements.
Use RF scanners, barcode systems, and inventory management software to record and track inventory movements.
Perform regular inventory activities, including cycle counts, to maintain inventory accuracy and reconcile discrepancies.
Handle materials safely and efficiently using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
Maintain organized storage areas and ensure products and materials are properly located and accessible.
Follow warehouse safety procedures and OSHA guidelines to promote a safe working environment.
Collaborate with production, warehouse, and transportation teams to prioritize and schedule shipments.
Manage multiple shipments and tasks in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
Complete data entry and documentation for shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions in computer systems and ERP software.
Communicate shipment status, inventory issues, and material availability to relevant team members.
Support continuous improvement of warehouse processes by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Work independently to complete daily tasks while actively contributing to overall team goals.
Lift and move materials up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
Previous experience working in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics environments.
Proficiency in inventory management and material handling in a warehouse setting.
Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification.
Experience using RF scanners, barcode systems, and inventory management software.
Familiarity with shipping carriers such as UPS, FedEx, DHL, and LTL freight providers.
Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.
Strong attention to detail when verifying shipments, inventory counts, and documentation.
Ability to read and interpret packing slips, bills of lading, and shipping manifests.
Basic computer proficiency, including use of Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills for coordinating with warehouse, production, and transportation teams.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
Dependable attendance record and strong work ethic.
Experience performing cycle counts and maintaining inventory accuracy.
Ability to work independently while contributing to team goals.
Mechanical aptitude and experience operating material handling equipment preferred.
Comfort working with data entry and documentation related to shipping, receiving, and inventory.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and operational needs in the warehouse.

This is a Contract position based out of Hebron, KY.
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
