The Job Details

• Communicate effectively with carriers and other contacts regarding inbound and outbound movements of their product.
• Have a full understanding of entering product into the WMS, storage, and shipment processes.
• Engage with drivers, verify identification, assign dock doors, and check drivers in and out.
• Know product locations within the warehouse for efficient dock door assignment.
• Communicate issues to the warehouse team for proper planning.
• Accurately enter data from carrier/customer paperwork for inbound processing.
• Generate bill documentation, review paperwork with carriers, and ensure drivers have correct documentation.
• Report overages, shortages, defective materials, or questionable conditions as per customer requirements.
• Record appointment details such as driver paperwork, seals, trailer numbers, etc.
• Perform final checks for order accuracy before releasing drivers.
• Identify and collect charges for pallets, overtime, labor, etc.
• Assist Customer Accounts with shipment postings.
• Maintain professional relationships with carriers and customers.

• Reports To: Customer Account Supervisor or Manager.

• Type: Full-Time, non-exempt.

What We Are Looking For

Education

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.

Experience

• Customer service orientation.
• Ability to interpret packing slips.
• Experience with WMS for processing and tracking goods.
