Job summary

Sterling Technologies, Incorporated is seeking a Shipping Clerk to manage the shipping department, prepare outgoing shipments, and receive large pallet inbound freight. You will organize inventory for quick retrieval and monitor schedules to sustain productive operations, while documenting inventory damages.

You will work on your feet, frequently bending and lifting up to 50 lbs (75 lbs occasionally), and operate warehouse equipment like forklifts, scales, and pallet jacks to ensure timely order

Responsible for the shipping department, preparing outgoing shipments and receiving incoming large pallet shipments. Duties include organizing inventory for easy retrieval as new orders come in, reviewing incoming and outgoing shipment schedules to maintain productive operations and documenting damages to inventory.

This requires being on feet, frequently bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting heavy items.

Shipping Clerks typically work to fulfill customer orders and maintain product inventory levels. They work closely with the Supervisor to review retrieve products, package products and place labels on outgoing packages. Their job is to keep detailed records of outgoing shipments for management to review at the end of each day. Responsible for operating warehouse equipment like scales, pallet jacks and forklifts.

Other duties will include helping in material prep and movement for production materials to teams and assisting in all other areas of getting product shipped in a timely manner.
