Job summary

Fastenal’s GA100 Distribution Center in Atlanta, GA is hiring for a full-time Shipping role. You will help move product, organize outgoing orders, and load trucks by hand, pallet jack, or forklift. This on-site role offers training, potential schedule flexibility after onboarding, and a path for growth within a growing industrial distributor.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 5:00pm - 2:00am

OVERVIEW

Find your future at Fastenal! Our distribution center is hiring energetic, team oriented individuals to work in our fast pace warehouse! Working as Full-time Shipping, you will help facilitate the movement of product throughout our distribution center. You will be responsible for organizing all outgoing orders, loading product into trucks by hand, pallet jack, or by forklift. This is an entry-level position based out of our distribution center located at 6445 Fulton Industrial Blvd, Atlanta, GA 30336. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operating computer programs, RF scanners, and printers to label product
• Inspecting product for damage and documenting discrepancies
• Sorting product into correct locations
• Stacking product efficiently
• Consolidating, loading and unloading shipments
• Utilizing load truck reports to locate product for outgoing shipments
• Ensuring proper load securement for transport
• Verifying product is correctly labeled for easy identification and delivery
• Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of work area
• Complying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations
• Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives
• Learning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• 18 years of age or over, due to the nature of work
• Proficient written and oral communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• Work independently as well as in a team environment
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed

• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs
• Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior experience operating a forklift
