Job summary

Fastenal Co. is expanding its Edwardsville distribution center with a part-time Receiving position. You will verify incoming product, label items, and prepare goods for the next stage of handling.

Shifts run during mornings and nights (6:00am–1:00pm; 10:00pm–6:00am), totaling 20–28 hours weekly. No relocation required; on-site work at 9911 Woodend Rd, Edwardsville, KS 66111.

OVERVIEW

Find your future at Fastenal! Our distribution center is hiring energetic, team-oriented individuals to work in our fast pace warehouse! Working as Part-time Receiving, you will help facilitate the movement of product throughout our distribution center. When inventory arrives at the HUB location, you will verify the product and quantity delivered. Then you will prepare the product to move to the next department, product handling. This is an entry level position based out of our distribution center located at 9911 Woodend Rd, Edwardsville, KS 66111. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operating computer programs, RF scanners, and printers to label product
• Unloading product
• Inspecting orders to ensure accuracy of shipment and reporting discrepancies
• Inspecting product for quality and accuracy
• Using a scale for weighing product
• Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of work area
• Complying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations
• Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives
• Learning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs
• Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

• Prior experience operating a forklift
