Classification: Hourly Non-Exempt (paid overtime)

General:

Responsible for preparing and processing all incoming and outgoing shipments.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a minimum of two years experience using computers at some level, microsft and shipping and receiving software.
• Must have 2-3 years in a lead role in shipping and receiving
• Receive, control, inspect, and release all incoming customer material, including related computer transactions.
• Insure all outgoing materials, packaging, process documentation and shipping documents meet customer requirements.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Dispose of all scrap materials.
• Deliver materials to other company buildings and locations.
• Operate and maintain all shipping dock and material handling equipment in compliance with all safety requirements.
• Maintain clean equipment and work areas.
• Wear personal protective equipment and follow safety instructions as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 50 lb. parts and other items from floor to waist on a regular basis while protecting lifted items from damage.
• Must be able to stand for several consecutive hours without rest, with frequent bending and reaching.
• Must be able to tolerate a hot work environment, even at times when summer outdoor temperatures combine with residual heat from furnaces.
• Must be able to walk within and between areas constantly and climb stairs occasionally.
