Job summary

G.S. Precision, a global leader in aerospace component manufacturing, seeks a Shipping/Receiving Clerk to support shipping, receiving, packing, and inventory tasks under supervision.

Schedule: Monday–Friday 9:00am–5:30pm. Requires a High School Diploma or GED with 3–5 years’ experience, data entry skills, basic math, and good written and verbal communication. Benefits include comprehensive health/dental/vision and 401(k) matching.

Responsibilities

• Perform shipping duties, check packing slips against actual goods; determine method of shipping including carrier; affix proper ship method as required.
• Perform packing duties; ensure goods are packaged according to specifications for safe delivery; maintain packaging supplies.
• Assist in training personnel in the area.
• Maintain records or other data as required.
• Maintain area and equipment in neat, orderly condition.
• Inventory accuracy through cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Adhere to all company policies, safety and housekeeping rules.
• Perform other duties as required.

Job Objective: Perform a variety of shipping, receiving, packing and inventory duties under the direction of the Lead Person and/or Shipping Supervisor.

Essential Job Duties:

• Perform shipping duties, check packing slips against actual goods; determine method of shipping including carrier; affix proper ship method as required.
• Perform packing duties; assure goods packaged according to specifications and to assure safe delivery of all parts; assure proper counts packaged; maintain adequate packaging supplies; requisition new supplies as required.
• Assist in training personnel in the area.
• Maintain records or other data as required.
• Maintains area and equipment in neat, orderly condition.
• Responsible for inventory accuracy by conducting periodic cycle counts and/or physical inventories.
• Observes all company policies, rules and regulations including good housekeeping, safety and security.
• Performs other duties as required, assigned or directed.

Requirements

Job Specifications:

• High School Diploma or GED and 3-5 years’ experience preferred.
• Experience with various software and computer systems and data entry skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Good written and communication skills.
• Use of judgment required in planning own work determining shipping methods.
• Basic knowledge of product flow through the company.
• Must be able to drive and maintains a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. frequently.
