Job summary

G.S. Precision Inc is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Clerk to perform a variety of duties including shipping, receiving, packing and inventory control. The role operates Monday–Friday, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency in handling parts and documentation.

Requires a High School Diploma or GED and 3-5 years’ related experience, with data entry skills, basic math, and strong written communication. Applicants must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and have a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 3-5 years’ experience preferred.
• Experience with various software and computer systems and data entry skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Good written and communication skills.
• Use of judgment in planning work and determining shipping methods.
• Basic knowledge of product flow through the company.
• Must be able to drive and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. frequently.

Responsibilities

• Perform shipping duties, check packing slips against actual goods; determine method of shipping including carrier; affix proper ship method as required.
• Perform packing duties; assure goods packaged according to specifications and to assure safe delivery of all parts; assure proper counts packaged; maintain adequate packaging supplies; requisition new supplies as required.
• Assist in training personnel in the area.
• Maintain records or other data as required.
• Maintains area and equipment in neat, orderly condition.
• Responsible for inventory accuracy by conducting periodic cycle counts and/or physical inventories.
• Observes all company policies, rules and regulations including good housekeeping, safety and security.
• Performs other duties as required, assigned or directed.
