Job summary

Our-Sunday-Visitor in Huntington, IN is seeking a Shipper to fill orders, pick and pack, and prepare freight for carriers. The role is full-time and requires ability to work all shifts.

Starting pay is $19.32 per hour, with a raise to $24.07 after 6 months, and shifts run 3:00 pm–11:00 pm and 11:00 pm–7:00 am.

Candidates must have a High School Diploma/GED, be able to stand up to 10 hours, and work with pallet jacks and basic production equipment.

• Work independently or as part of a team as needed.

Primary Purpose:

Fulfillment of orders – including pick, pack and meter – while maintaining order and shipping accuracy.

Job Duties/Requirements:

• Pick and pack orders efficiently and accurately
• Meter completed orders and prep outbound freight for carriers
• Accurately prepare and ship domestic, international, parcel and truck orders
• Operate manual or motorized pallet jacks to move materials
• Operate production equipment as requested
• Ability to take direction and complete assigned tasks
• Work independently or as part of a team depending on what the task requires
• Ability to work with computers and automated systems
• Communicate effectively with team members
• Ability to stand up to 10 hours per day
• Able to maintain 5S and a safe work environment
• Work efficiently and diligently without direct supervision
• Able to perform Daily Preventative Maintenance TPM as required
• Must be able to cross train and work in other positions and classifications as determined by team leaders/management
