Job summary

Our Sunday Visitor, Inc. in Huntington, IN is seeking a Shipper to join our team on a full-time basis. The role involves fulfilling orders, picking and packing, and preparing shipments for domestic and international delivery.

They will operate pallet jacks and other production equipment, maintain 5S and safety standards, and work both independently and as part of a team. Starting pay is $19.32 per hour, increasing to $24.07 after six months, with shifts available.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to stand for long periods (up to 10 hours) and move/lift materials.
• Ability to operate computers or automated systems and follow directions.

2nd Shift - 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm

3rd Shift - 11:00 pm - 7:00 am

This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). In the event of any conflict between this job description and the CBA, the provisions of the CBA shall prevail.

Primary Purpose:

Fulfillment of orders – including pick, pack and meter – while maintaining order and shipping accuracy.

Job Duties/Requirements:

• Pick and pack orders efficiently and accurately
• Meter completed orders and prep outbound freight for carriers
• Accurately prepare and ship domestic, international, parcel and truck orders
• Operate manual or motorized pallet jacks to move materials
• Operate production equipment as requested
• Ability to take direction and complete assigned tasks
• Work independently or as part of a team depending on what the task requires
• Ability to work with computers and automated systems
• Communicate effectively with team members
• Ability to stand up to 10 hours per day
• Able to maintain 5S and a safe work environment
• Work efficiently and diligently without direct supervision
• Able to perform Daily Preventative Maintenance TPM as required
• Must be able to cross train and work in other positions and classifications as determined by team leaders/management
