Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. is seeking a supervisor to lead a group of hourly shipfitters in a shipyard environment in Pascagoula, MS. The role ensures safety, quality, and timely production while managing costs.
The successful candidate will read blueprints, plan daily activities, and coordinate manpower, materials, and equipment. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential to operate as part of the management team.
Supervises the activities of a group ofhourlyshipfitters in order to meet company quality and safety standards within production schedules, in the most cost effective manner. Works under the general direction of a foreman, superintendent or other plant management position.

Knowledge of plant operations with particular emphasis on shipfitting techniques and equipment involved. Minimum of 3 years' experience as a journeyman. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and work objectives. Ability to effectively plan work procedures, equipment, material and manpower needs. Ability to effectively build and lead a productive work group and to perform as a member of a management team. Ability to effectively communicate. Knowledge of State and Federal and regulations
