Job summary

Core Group Resources seeks a Fitter Supervisor - Maritime to lead outside steelworker activities for shipbuilding, renovation, repair, and maintenance projects on the first shift (6:30am-4:00pm). This role requires on-site leadership, monitoring progress, coaching teams, and driving accountability to deliver work on schedule.

You will supervise up to 40 employees with potential domestic travel, ensuring quality standards and adherence to safety and environmental guidelines while coordinating

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret shipbuilding drawings, specifications, work packages, and engineering requirements.
• Experience supervising steel fitting and structural fabrication/assembly/installation in a shipyard or maritime environment.
• Proven leadership to manage production schedules while maintaining quality, safety, and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret shipbuilding drawings, structural specifications, work packages, fabrication schedules, and engineering requirements to determine material needs and work sequences
• Plan and oversee steel fitting, structural fabrication, assembly, alignment, and installation activities for shipboard structures, tanks, compartments, and equipment
• Coordinate workforce assignments, monitor production schedules, and ensure work is completed in accordance with quality, safety, environmental, and project requirements
• Plan activities and overtime as needed to meet project demands
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Proven leadership capability to direct teams and manage production schedules while maintaining quality, safety, and environmental standards
• Ability to coordinate labor assignments and support project deadlines, including overtime planning when required
• Willingness to travel domestically as needed
