Bollinger Mississippi Shipbuilding, LLC is seeking a skilled shipfitter to contribute to surface preparation and fabrication within the hull for rivets and welds. Three years minimum experience as Marine Structural or Outfitting Journeyman (1st Class) is required.
Responsibilities include laying out parts from blueprints, aligning components, and performing cutting and welding tasks as needed. The role requires working from blueprints, precise layout skills, and the ability to read drawings.
REQUIRED: Three years minimum Marine Structural or Outfitting Journeyman (1st Class) experience.
GENERAL FUNCTION: The shipfitter is responsible for the surface preparation of structural metal components and the lay out and fabrication of metal structural parts within the hull of a vessel for riveting and welding.
Knowledge of blueprints and drawings.
Prior experience, as a shipfitter is preferred, capable of operating a cutting torch and tack welding.
