Job summary
Noblis, a leader in providing engineering and technical services, seeks a Systems Engineer/Technical Operations for on-site work in Norfolk, VA. The role supports shipboard and LBES testing for DDG HM&E Mid-Life Upgrades, focusing on lifecycle support, system design, installation, and verification of Machinery Control Systems on US Navy ships.
You will troubleshoot controls, assist in test procedures, and communicate with the technical leads in Philadelphia.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in electrical or systems engineering or equivalent with related experience.
- US citizenship and ability to obtain Secret clearance.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical control systems and reading schematics.
- Proficiency with test tools (multimeter, oscilloscope) and diagnostics.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot control systems using documentation and schematics.
- Provide test support for all variants of fielded systems at LBES and on shipboard.
- Install and verify hardware/software for fielded MCS variants.
- Provide regular status updates and liaise between shipboard teams and leads in Philadelphia.
- Contribute to test procedure development and documentation.
