Job summary

RTX is seeking a Combat Systems Engineer II to join the Surface Radar team in San Diego, onsite. You will apply your experience in system installation, activation, testing, and troubleshooting of advanced Naval radar systems used by the US Navy. Expect shipboard testing during activations and at-sea periods.

Role requires 2+ years in STEM-related combat system operations, with ability to travel up to 30% and work in confined spaces aboard ships. U.S.

Qualifications

Typically requires a degree in STEM and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
Experience with combat system operation and maintenance, including radar system installation, integration, and/or troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Perform radar equipment installation, checkout, testing, and reporting of results.
Maintain ship radar systems and upgrade hardware/firmware.
Provide daily status reports to the area lead and stakeholders.
Provide underway system support for at-sea test events.
Travel up to 30% for testing locations and at-sea periods.
