Job summary

Serco is seeking a Pipe Fitter to support U.S. Navy ships with varied electromechanical and electronic assemblies on-board. You will interpret specifications, work on Navy ships and installations, and maintain strict safety standards.

The role requires Active Secret Clearance, US citizenship, a high school diploma or GED, and 4 years of pipe fitting or related experience, with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain an Active Secret Clearance.
• US citizenship required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• 4 years of pipe fitting experience or similar/relevant experience.
• Familiarity with NAVSEA concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Ability to get respirator qualified and wear proper PPE.
• Ability to work in high heat spaces, climb shipyard stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to undergo background investigation and pass a drug screening.
• Travel up to 25% to various work sites.

Responsibilities

• Interpret specifications, drawings, blueprints, shop orders and process sheets.
• Work on U.S. Navy Ships and military installations with attention to safety.
