Job summary

Keel is seeking a skilled pipefitter to install, maintain, and repair shipboard piping systems. You will read complex blueprints, lay out pipe sections, and assemble pipes with cutting, threading, bending, welding, and soldering. Independent work with safety-focused quality standards is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of pipefitting experience.
• Advanced pipefitting duties and shipboard piping knowledge.
• Reading blueprints and specifications required.
• Experience with welding and soldering.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair shipboard piping systems (steam, hot water, hydraulic, air, oil).
• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Plan layouts, cut/thread/bend pipes, install supports, and connect to equipment.
• Perform hydrostatic and pressure tests; identify and fix leaks.
• Troubleshoot and ensure safety and quality standards.
