Job summary

American Cruise Lines is hiring Galley Stewards for the 2027 season. You will work in the shipboard galley to ensure proper sanitation of all pieces needed to provide an outstanding dining experience. This is a temporary position for 28 weeks aboard our ships.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder.
• Pre-employment drug test is required under Federal law for shipboard employees.
• Grooming standards apply; this is a temporary position not to exceed 28 weeks.
• Alcohol consumption is prohibited on shipboard to ensure safe and conscientious service.
• Successful candidates work well under pressure with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of galley, cutlery, glassware, dishes, and surrounding areas.
• Receive and carry food deliveries weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ensure dishwasher operates properly and report maintenance issues to management.
• Create genuine rapport with guests and cater to galley requests efficiently.
• May perform other duties such as greeting guests and assisting during events and evening entertainments.
