Job summary

AdvantEdge Technology, Inc. is seeking a Full-time Field Engineer to support the AEGIS Electronic Cooling Water Systems (ECWS) with extensive shipboard travel across DDGs and CGs in the fleet.

The role requires mechanical and electrical tasking, installation experience, and the ability to read technical manuals and diagrams. The candidate should be capable of leading routine tasks, performing material kitting and logistics, maintaining tool inventories, and complying with shipboard safety and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field and 4 - 6 years of experience or no degree and 8 - 10 years of applicable experience.
• Must have knowledge and experience in mechanical and electrical tasking.
• Must have installation experience with ability to read and follow Tech Manual instructions.
• Must be able to read and utilize technical documentation (diagrams, schematics, etc.)
• Must be able to perform mechanical and electrical requirements.
• Must be able to use power, hand tools and test equipment.
• Must be able to work as a team member and/or lead performing routine tasks.
• Must be able to conduct material kitting, staging, assembly, packaging, loading, shipping and receiving material.
• Must be able to inventory and control piece parts, assemblies, sub-assemblies and tools.
• Must be able to support extensive field work assignments.
• Must be able to support installations of shipboard systems/equipment.
• Must be able to understand and follow the shipboard tagout lockout procedures.
• Must be able to take responsibility for action items assigned, complete the actions and provide status reports.
• Must be able to complete required training and obtain an OSHA course prior to travel.
• Must be able wear the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when entering a shipyard or boarding a ship.
• Must be able to receive and maintain a security clearance.
• Must be able to follow company policies and procedures.
• Must be able to write, speak and present clear, detailed technical monthly reports.
• Must be able to complete timecard on a daily.

Responsibilities

• Full-time Field Engineer supporting AEGIS ECWS with extensive shipboard travel.
• Perform chelate flush of AN/SPY-1 Radar System and oversee operations/maintenance control of DDGs and CGs in the fleet.
• Support installations of shipboard systems and ensure compliance with shipboard procedures.
