Job summary

American Cruise Lines seeks a Cruise & Excursions Director to lead onboard entertainment and ashore exploration programs. The role requires engaging guests, coordinating shore excursions, managing vendors and inventory, and promoting onboard sales while reporting to the Hotel General Manager.

Expect long hours, high guest interaction, and a dynamic onboard environment as part of the 2026 season aboard U.S.-flag ships. This is a full-time, exempt position on the ship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, tourism, or event management preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Energetic and creative person with polished presentation skills.
• Strong public speaking and production/ presentation sense.
• Basic knowledge of audio/visual equipment.
• Excellent time management and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of U.S. geography preferred.
• TWIC required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and execute engaging entertainment, enrichment and activity programs.
• Coordinate ship-to-shore experiences and shore excursions with vendors.
• Communicate daily program details to guests via PA and other channels.
• Oversee logistics for excursions, transfers and inventory.
• Engage guests on board and ashore as a brand ambassador.
• Promote onboard sales and loyalty programs.
• Report status to Home Office and assist in safety briefings.
