Job summary

American Cruise Lines, the largest USA flagged cruise line operating within the United States, is seeking an Excursions Director for the 2026 season. You will manage shore excursions, liaise with vendors, and act as a brand ambassador onboard with extensive guest interaction.

The role requires an energetic, collaborative attitude, long hours, and a passion for guest satisfaction as you lead excursions and coordinate logistics across domestic ports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, tourism, or event management is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• Enthusiasm, confidence, and a can‑do attitude.
• Strong public speaking skills.
• Excellent time management and attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. Geography preferred.
• Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) required.

Responsibilities

• Arrange, confirm and adjust shore excursions, explorations, adventures and transfers.
• Be well-versed in cruising region, ports of call and excursions offered.
• Accompany guests on daily excursions as a brand ambassador.
• Coordinate logistics with vendors and ground operators for timely service.
• Accommodate guest requests including personalized arrangements.
• Inform crew and guests of daily excursion offerings and changes.
