Job summary

Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum seeks a skilled electrician responsible for complex maintenance of shipboard and landside electrical systems. The role includes preventive maintenance, inspections for hazards, and support for special events.

A high school diploma and driver’s license are required, with relevant electrical experience preferred. This position offers state-level benefits and requires occasional after-hours work, with duties including safety compliance and adherence to

Qualifications

• High school diploma required, relevant experience may substitute diploma.
• Experience in construction or repair of secondary electrical shipboard and building systems.
• Driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex maintenance and repair tasks involving shipboard and landside electrical systems and components.
• Monitor and maintain fire monitoring and detection systems, cathodic protection systems and hotel service systems.
• Assist with operation and use of shipboard log-out/tag-out procedures as required.
• Initiate and perform preventive maintenance on equipment in area of responsibility; rotate in duty status to provide electrician support for off-hour emergencies.
• Operate lifts and equipment trained for; may work at heights and after-hours events.
