Job summary

HII Newport News Shipbuilding is seeking an experienced electrical technician to repair, construct, install, and maintain routine electrical systems and equipment across production facilities. Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years additional education/experience.
• Apprentice graduate/Associate's Degree in a relevant discipline with 1 year of related experience.
• May require certification.

Responsibilities

• Repairs, constructs, installs, troubleshoots, and maintains routine electrical systems and equipment.
• Modifies, aligns, calibrates, designs, programs, installs, tests and maintains control systems and production equipment.
• Cuts, threads, bends, couples, and straps conduit as required.
• Troubleshoots electrical malfunctions and inspects circuits and wiring for grounding and safety.
