Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be a United States citizen of at least 18 years of age.
• Possess a U.S. Regular Passport with a minimum of seven months remaining.
• Have a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) and/or DOD CAC with ten months remaining.
• Hold a United States Coast Guard Merchant Mariner’s Credential endorsed as Electrician or qualified member of the engine department.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repair, and operation of ship’s electrical systems.
• Work with various types of switchboards, generators, motors, and lighting systems.
• Assist in safety testing and maintenance of portable shipboard electrical equipment.
