Job summary

AdvantEdge Technology, Inc. seeks a Damage Control Technician to support operations aboard the SDTS, operating out of Port Hueneme, California.

The role focuses on Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical systems maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and underway mission operations. The position requires extensive Navy/Coast Guard experience in damage control, firefighting, and shipboard engineering, with responsibilities including training, inspections, and emergency response aboard a former Navy

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of five (5) years of relevant U.S. Navy or U.S. Coast Guard experience in Damage Control, Hull Maintenance, shipboard firefighting, or a directly related shipboard engineering field.

Responsibilities

Inspect, operate, maintain, test, and repair shipboard damage control and firefighting equipment.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with established maintenance procedures and shipboard requirements.
Inspect and maintain portable fire extinguishers and other emergency response equipment.
Support inspection, testing, and maintenance of installed firefighting and suppression systems.
Participate in shipboard damage control training and drills involving fire, flooding, toxic gas, personnel casualties, and other emergency scenarios.
