Job summary

KBR is seeking a Shipboard COMSEC Technician for a role based on Blount Island, Jacksonville. The position involves installing, testing, and repairing multichannel communications equipment used for high-capacity, point-to-point links, with responsibilities to mentor junior technicians and support maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• AA degree in electronics or equivalent certification required.
• Four years of directly related work experience.
• Complete the Multi-channel Equipment Technician Course or equivalent.
• Complete the Technician Theory Course or equivalent.
• High school algebra knowledge or equivalent.
• In lieu of a degree, college credits or relevant training may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Installs, tests, and repairs multichannel communications equipment for high-capacity links.
• Provides technical guidance or training to lower level repairers and assists higher level technicians.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
