Job summary

KBR is seeking a Shipboard COMSEC Equipment Technician to install, test, and repair multichannel communications gear used for high-capacity, point-to-point links aboard ships in Guam, Saipan, or Diego Garcia. The role includes providing technical guidance to junior technicians and supporting senior staff.

Required qualifications include an AA degree in electronics or equivalent, four years of related experience, and completion of relevant technician courses; citizenship and security clearance

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of electronic circuitry and principles and their practical applications.
• Ability to apply wiring diagrams, schematics, technical orders and manufacturer specs.
• Completion of multi-channel equipment technician course or equivalent.
• Completion of technician theory course or equivalent.
• Combination of college credits or training may substitute for degree.

Responsibilities

• Installs, tests, and repairsmultichannel communications equipment for high capacity, point-to-point links.
• Provides technical assistance and training to lower level repairers and supports higher level technicians.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
