Job summary

Woodside Petroleum Ltd seeks an Operations Shift Trainer to develop and deliver training for Louisiana LNG operations. You will drive competency, coordinate field and simulator-based training, and ensure alignment with safety standards.

This role requires hands-on leadership across multi-skilled teams and strong collaboration with the Lead Operations Trainer. You will oversee training programs, maintain records in the LMS, and contribute to readiness assurance activities across the facility,

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of competency assurance and technical training.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and training technologies.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design.
• Ability to influence and earn credibility across all levels of the organisation including contractors.
• Experience with the Operator Training Simulator (OTS) lifecycle including MAT/FAT/SAT.
• Ability to develop, validate, maintain, and deliver scenario-based OTS training programs.
• Knowledge of OTS governance, change management, and simulator maintenance.
• Safety-based leadership and coaching to ensure HSE in design and execution.

Responsibilities

• Provide input ensuring facilities meet licence to operate and regulated role compliance.
• Lead and motivate team members to achieve Process Safety Management requirements.
• Contribute to risk identification and assessments for conformance.
• Support permit to work governance, process and permit requirements.
• Manage risks during pre-operations and carryover into operations.
• Assign responsibilities and ensure delivery of training sessions and assessments.
• Deliver classroom, on-the-job, and simulation-based training.
• Ensure training programs meet regulatory and company compliance.
• Coordinate training schedules, logistics, and LMS documentation.
• Generate training metrics and reports for leadership.
• Develop and implement OTS/Field training for Louisiana LNG facility.
