Job summary

brc in New York is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead frontline staff, maintain shelter operations, and ensure safety, policies, and procedures are followed.

You will oversee daily activities, enforce documentation standards, respond to incidents, and participate in leadership meetings while supporting residents and staff across shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in homeless shelters or similar settings is preferred.
• At least one year of supervisory or lead experience preferred.
• Knowledge of addiction and recovery processes.
• Strong computer literacy and documentation skills.
• First Aid and Fire Safety certifications required (or willingness to obtain).
• CPR certification required (or willingness to obtain).

Join BRC in a leadership role that helps ensure safety, stability, and support for individuals experiencing homelessness. As a Shift Supervisor, you’ll oversee frontline staff, maintain shelter operations, and ensure policies and safety procedures are followed.

What You’ll Do

• Supervise Community Technicians and operations support staff

• Ensure staff follow all agency policies, procedures, and documentation standards

Schedule

• Full-time,37.5 hours per week
• Programs operate 24/7; various morning, evening, and overnight schedules available

Who We’re Looking For
