Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare an employee for higher supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The role involves performing work as directed to gain experience, completing basic operations and management skills training, and learning about key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion of the training program, trainees are eligible for consideration for promotion to open supervisory positions. These roles support the store management team by driving store execution, performance, and building customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads store staff, ensures smooth operations, and oversees opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

6. Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints
7. Promote CVS customer service culture (greet, offer help, thank)

9. Maintain customer confidentiality

Required Qualifications

Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer skills, advanced communication skills, and flexibility to work early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in retail

Education

High School diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Anticipated Weekly Hours: 29

Time Type: Part time

Pay Range: $16.00 - $23.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, and location.
