Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position that prepares an employee for higher supervisory roles, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs tasks as directed to gain skills and knowledge about key aspects of the business, including customer loyalty through exceptional service and CVS/pharmacy culture. Successful completion of the training may lead to promotion opportunities in store management.

These leadership roles involve supporting store operations, driving performance, and building customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads the staff, ensures smooth operations, and completes opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions
  1. Management
  2. Work effectively with store management and staff
  3. Supervise store crew activities, assign tasks, and follow up
  4. Communicate effectively with management and staff

  2. Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints
  3. Promote CVS customer service culture (greet, offer help, thank)
  4. Handle customer relations issues per company policy
  5. Maintain customer confidentiality
Qualifications

Required: Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer skills, advanced communication skills, flexible schedule including early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred: Retail experience.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Additional Details

Hours: 25 hours/week

Time Type: Part-time

Pay Range: $16.00 - $23.00 per hour, depending on experience and location
