Job description

Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position that prepares employees for higher supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. Trainees perform assigned work to develop management skills, learn about the business, and understand CVS/pharmacy culture. Successful completion of the program makes candidates eligible for promotion to leadership roles that support store operations and enhance customer service.

Essential Functions
  1. Management
  2. Work effectively with store management and staff
  3. Supervise store crew activities, assign tasks, and ensure follow-up
  4. Communicate effectively with management and staff
  1. Customer Service
  2. Assist customers with inquiries, problems, and complaints
  3. Promote CVS customer service culture (greet, assist, thank)
  4. Handle customer relations issues per company policy and ensure a positive shopping experience
  5. Maintain customer confidentiality
Qualifications

Required: Deductive reasoning, analytical, and computer skills; strong communication skills; flexible schedule including early mornings, overnights, weekends; overtime as needed.

Preferred: Retail experience.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Additional Details

Anticipated weekly hours: 40

Time Type: Full time

Pay Range: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience and other factors.
