The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position that prepares an employee to perform higher-level supervisory roles, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs work as directed to gain skills and knowledge necessary for future supervisory responsibilities, completes basic operations and management training, and learns about key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and CVS/pharmacy culture.
Upon successful completion of the training, trainees are eligible for consideration for promotion to open Supervisor roles. These leadership positions support the store management team in driving store execution, performance, and customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the Supervisor leads the store staff, ensures smooth operations, and completes opening and closing procedures.
Required: Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer skills, advanced communication skills, flexibility to work early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Preferred: Retail experience.
High School diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
Anticipated weekly hours: 28
Time type: Part time
Pay range: $16.00 - $26.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, and location.
